Our Volunteers: The Heart of Our Care

At Serenity Home Hospice, volunteers are at the heart of our care. Our volunteer program provides an opportunity for motivated individuals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

We are committed to providing our volunteers with a fulfilling and rewarding experience. Alongside your personal fulfillment, contributing your time helps us come one step closer to achieving our mission—providing companionship and a sense of community for our patients.

Care on Your Schedule

Whether you’re juggling work, school, or other responsibilities and commitments, we recognize the value of your time, which is why we offer the flexibility to choose your own schedule when it comes to volunteering.

Whether it be once a week, once a month, or anywhere in between, the frequency is completely up to you. Our volunteer coordinator will work with you to figure out what days and times work best for your schedule.

Volunteering Requirements

According to the Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation, the following are required from all hospice volunteers:

  • A criminal background check and fingerprinting
  • Annual tuberculosis (TB) testing
  • Serenity Home Hospice volunteer orientation and training program

After you’ve filled out the form below, we will take care of all the arrangements needed for you to fulfill the aforementioned requirements.
